Ensuring the continuity of learning in the countries where we work through free digital resources for teachers, families, children and institutions; and defining and implementing alternative ways to reach the unconnected.
We are a digital education program promoted by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación ¨la Caixa¨ to reduce the educational gap in the world by improving the educational quality of millions of boys and girls who live in vulnerable environments in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
To do this, we rely on technology, which allows us to reach more people and further, and we use innovative digital teaching-learning experiences to promote the development of digital skills that allow teachers, students and school directors to face the challenges of the 21st century.
Behind this ambitious initiative are two large Spanish institutions, Fundación Telefónica and Fundación "la Caixa", which in 2016 decided to join forces and their background in the world of education to ensure that all boys and girls have equal opportunities regardless from the place where they are born.
In line with goal 4 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG4), we aspire to improve the education of millions of boys and girls through technology, becoming a world benchmark for educational transformation and innovation.
ProFuturo’s digital learning platform offers for free more than 160 courses and 2,800 hours of training in different languages (Spanish, English, French and Portuguese). We also provide teachers with educational resources and tools to prepare their lessons from home, recommending activities for their students and supporting them in carrying out distance learning.
